Adam & Eve Store played host to lovers of arts and fine homewares when ‘The Content’ exhibition opened at the Isaac John Ikeja GRA flagship store. Well curated art pieces adorned the white walls interacting freely with exquisite home furnishings.

Taking the right turn into the large store, the works of master artist, Bruce Onobrakpeya were hanging on the wall next to well-crafted outdoor upholstery.  Going further in, the works of Stanley Dudu titled, ‘Counselling’ and ‘Supplicant’ and others were arranged next to three colourful decorative bottles. It is breathtaking how each art piece on display beautifully completed the home accessories and furnishings on display throughout the entire store.

Truly, a space in the home is incomplete without a piece of art adorning it. ‘The Content’ is a testament to this fact.  “This exhibition, says Modupe Ogunlesi, CEO, Adam & Eve, gives a very unusual opportunity to gather into your space objects of beauty per your perception.”

Over one thousand objets d’art from notable luxury brands like Clive Christian, Versace, Bugatti and others interacted with artworks from renowned artists like Onobrakpeya and Kolade Oshinowo including third generation artists like Lekan Onabanjo, Francis Uduh, Juliet Ezenwa Pearce among others.

For example, Francis Uduh’s sculptures blends perfectly with the exotic bar stools and tables made of aluminium base with raw wood finish; in the background in the Boys’ Den created at the store, is an Eurographics wall art in 3D and on the floor, is Cascade carpet to complete the entire set up.

Likewise, Versace Home Collection, Vanity done in conjunction with Rosenthal will make a good pairing with any of Onobrakpeya’s piece at the exhibition. The subtle flicks of gold which catches the light, opulence of the dining set which sets the tone for that great dining experience complements perfectly the shades of colours on Onobrakpeya’s works. The same way, realist painter, Olumide Oresegun’s piece, ‘Allow’ will light up that empty space in the bedroom or bathroom.

‘The Content’ is truly a great exhibition to see for that exhilarating experience. In the words of Lanre Ogunlesi, chairman Adam & Eve, The Content plus Adam & Eve equals Contentment.  The exhibition which opened on October 15 runs till December 15, 2017.
